          “Hello everyone, I’m Aom, a contestant in the Miss Supranational 2024 pageant. 😊 I must say that I’ve always felt a bit insecure about my face, especially regarding the bridge of my nose. My face is quite flat and lacks dimension, which makes me feel less confident when taking photos from certain angles or walking on stage to showcase beauty.

I’ve often thought that if I had a more defined face with more dimension, I would feel much more confident, which is very important for beauty pageants. Moreover, when I sleep on my side, I feel like my eyes almost merge together! 😅 So, I wanted to share this feeling with everyone, in case anyone has any advice or is going through the same thing.

Before deciding to undergo open rhinoplasty with Dr. Darin at The Sib Clinic, I looked at many reviews. Then, I came across a case that really caught my eye – a nose revision done by the doctor using the open technique with the patient’s own rib cartilage.           When the doctor examined my face, she informed me that with my features, the open technique using my own rib cartilage would be necessary because it would allow for a beautifully defined and sloped tip. The doctor explained that the slope would start near the inner corner of my eye and then slightly project at the tip of my nose, without being excessively long.

 

I must say, I thought long and hard about this surgery because it was my first nose job, and I was a bit scared. But I thought to myself that I wasn’t wrong in choosing this place.

 

I want to be able to do my makeup and look more dimensional and beautiful when I’m in front of the camera or on stage for pageants. I want to take photos where my face looks beautiful from every angle. Even though I sometimes lack confidence in my facial dimensions in certain photos, this rhinoplasty will allow me to confidently turn my face to any angle for the camera.

Just a little whisper: I want to tell you that Dr. Darin’s open technique causes absolutely no swelling or bruising, not even a little bit! Even after seven days when the splint was removed, we could see that there was no swelling or bruising at all. Importantly, I could already wear makeup for events. On the seventh day, I went shopping with friends after having the splint removed by Dr. Darin.

 

The first thing I noticed about my new nose bridge that made me want to scream with joy was that it was much smaller than before. It had a more defined slope, a slightly upturned tip that looked cute, and it wasn’t too short or too long – it was just right! It’s the nose shape I’ve always dreamed of. I was very impressed after the splint was removed. Initially, I was excited, but after seeing my nose, I was so impressed! During the first one to three days, I initially thought there would be a lot of swelling, bruising, and discoloration, like what I had read in reviews. But experiencing it myself, it exceeded my expectations! There was no discoloration or bruising at all, and very minimal swelling. Many people commented on how gentle the doctor’s hands are.

After the nose surgery, the first thing the doctor warned me about was to avoid alcohol and any impact during the initial period. I also had to abstain from all types of food that could hinder healing. If you want to be beautiful, you have to be patient. But I want to give my friends a little warning that during the first one to seven days of sleep, you need to be careful. You must sleep on your back at all times to reduce the chance of the nose shifting, even though there is a splint to support it. We should still try to sleep straight as much as possible.

Now, we’ll skip ahead to 14 days, during the stitch removal period, so my friends can see photos of my facial beauty. This is truly my new nose after 14 days. Why is there no swelling at all? It’s very surprising! Importantly, I feel like my nose bridge is starting to settle in. After just 14 days, it’s already this beautiful and sloped. I wonder how beautiful it will be after three months when it’s fully settled! We’ll wait and see. Another thing I want to show off is that my nose bridge is very straight, and my nostrils are also even.

          If I were to recommend a place for rhinoplasty or nose revision at a reasonable price with a direct consultation with a specialist doctor, I would recommend Dr. Darin here. This is because she pays attention to every detail. Even when I came in for wound cleaning, the doctor would come in to check my wound every time.
