Facial aging rarely happens in just one place.
The brows may gradually descend, the eyes can begin to look tired, the cheeks and jawline may lose definition, and changes in facial structure can make the entire face appear older or more fatigued than we actually feel.
For this patient, the concern was not simply one wrinkle or one facial feature.
She wanted to refresh her entire face — but she still wanted to look like herself.
That became the starting point of her journey at The SIB Plastic Surgery.
After a detailed facial assessment, the surgeon developed a comprehensive treatment plan combining Facelift, Endotine Brow Lift, Eye Rejuvenation, and Open Rhinoplasty.
The photographs show her before surgery and approximately 23 days after the procedures an early stage of recovery, but already an interesting example of how treating the face as a whole can create a more harmonious transformation.
The Problem Wasn’t Just “Sagging Skin”
Before surgery, several age-related changes could be considered when planning facial rejuvenation.
There was visible laxity through the face, particularly around the cheeks and lower facial contour. The eye and brow areas also contributed to a more tired appearance.
But simply tightening the skin would not necessarily address everything.
This is an important point in facial rejuvenation.
When different areas of the face have changed together, correcting only one area may not always produce the balance a patient is looking for.
The surgeon therefore assessed the face from multiple angles and considered how the forehead, brows, eyes, midface, lower face, and nose related to one another.
The markings seen in the preoperative photographs were part of this surgical planning process, helping identify the areas to be addressed according to her individual facial anatomy.
“I Want to Look Younger Not Like a Different Person”
One of the biggest concerns many patients have before facial surgery is whether the result will look too tight, too obvious, or simply unlike them.
That was not the objective of this case.
At The SIB, the plan was developed around the patient’s existing facial structure.
Instead of trying to create a completely new face, the goal was to improve areas affected by aging while preserving the features that made her recognizable.
The desired direction was simple:
Firmer facial contours. Brighter-looking eyes. Better facial balance. Still naturally her.

Step 1: Facelift to Restore Facial Definition
The facelift formed an important part of the overall rejuvenation plan.
As facial tissues change with age, the cheeks, lower face, and jawline can gradually lose their previous definition. This can create a heavier appearance even when a person’s weight has not significantly changed.
A facelift is designed to address these structural changes rather than focusing only on surface wrinkles.
For this patient, the procedure was planned to improve facial laxity and restore a cleaner, more defined contour while maintaining an appearance appropriate for her facial anatomy.
The goal was not an excessively pulled look.
It was to make the face appear firmer, fresher, and better defined.
Step 2: Endotine Brow Lift to Open the Upper Face
The position of the brows has a major influence on how the eyes appear.
When the brow area descends, the upper face may look heavier and the eyes can appear smaller or more tired.
For this reason, an Endotine Brow Lift was included in the treatment plan.
By repositioning the brow area, the surgeon aimed to create a more open and refreshed appearance around the eyes while maintaining a natural expression.
This procedure also complements the facelift because it allows the upper and lower areas of the face to be rejuvenated together rather than creating an imbalance between them.
Step 3: Eye Rejuvenation for a Brighter, More Rested Look
The eyes are often where people notice aging first.
Changes around the eyelids can make someone appear tired even after a good night’s sleep.
The patient’s plan therefore included an eye rejuvenation procedure to improve the appearance around the eyes.
Combined with the Endotine Brow Lift, the objective was to make the eye area appear more open, refreshed, and harmonious with the newly lifted facial contour.
The difference is not about creating completely different eyes.
It is about allowing the eyes to look less heavy and more refreshed.
Step 4: Open Rhinoplasty to Complete the Facial Balance
Why address the nose during facial rejuvenation?
Because facial harmony depends on proportion.
The nose sits at the center of the face and can influence how the eyes, cheeks, lips, and overall facial profile are perceived.
For this patient, Open Rhinoplasty was incorporated into the overall surgical plan to refine the nasal structure and create better harmony with the rejuvenated facial features.
Rather than choosing a fashionable or standardized nose shape, the surgical plan needed to consider what would complement her own face.
The objective was refinement — not exaggeration.

Why Combine These Procedures?
This case demonstrates an important concept in facial rejuvenation:
Sometimes the best improvement comes from treating the relationship between facial features, not simply correcting one area.
A facelift can improve sagging and facial definition, but it does not directly correct the brow position.
A brow lift can open the upper face, but it does not address lower facial laxity.
Eye surgery can refresh the eye area, while rhinoplasty can improve central facial proportion.
When appropriate for the patient, combining procedures allows the surgeon to plan the transformation as one complete picture.
For this case, each procedure had a different role:
- Facelift: improved facial laxity and definition
- Endotine Brow Lift: lifted the brow area and opened the upper face
- Eye Rejuvenation: refreshed the appearance around the eyes
- Open Rhinoplasty: refined the nose to improve overall facial harmony
The intention was not to make every feature dramatic.
It was to make the features work better together.

The 23-Day Result: Still Early, But Already Noticeably Refreshed
The postoperative photographs were taken approximately 23 days after surgery.
At this stage, the healing process is not complete. Swelling and tissue settling may continue, and different areas of the face can recover at different rates.
However, the overall direction of the transformation can already be appreciated.
The face appears more defined, particularly through the overall contour. The upper face looks more open, while the eyes appear brighter and more refreshed.
At the same time, the refined nasal structure contributes to a more balanced overall appearance.
Perhaps most importantly, she remains recognizable as herself.
Rather than one feature demanding all the attention, the face appears more harmonious as a whole.
Why Surgical Planning Matters
The markings visible in the patient’s preoperative photographs illustrate an important stage that happens before surgery even begins.
Facial rejuvenation should not be based simply on statements such as “pull everything tighter” or “make me look ten years younger.”
A surgeon needs to consider facial anatomy, skin and tissue characteristics, asymmetry, the degree and location of laxity, facial proportions, and the patient’s expectations.
That information helps determine which procedures may be appropriate and how they should work together.
At The SIB Plastic Surgery, the objective of consultation is therefore not simply to recommend as many procedures as possible.
It is to understand which areas are actually contributing to the patient’s concerns and create an individualized surgical strategy.
Good Facial Rejuvenation Shouldn’t Erase Your Character
There is a difference between looking different and looking refreshed.
For many patients considering facial rejuvenation, the ideal result is not hearing:
“You had surgery.”
It is hearing:
“You look refreshed.”
That is why maintaining facial identity is such an important part of individualized surgical planning.
The goal is not to erase every sign of age or turn back time completely. It is to improve the structural changes that are creating a tired or aged appearance while preserving the patient’s natural expressions and individual characteristics.
For this patient, the combination of Facelift, Endotine Brow Lift, Eye Rejuvenation, and Open Rhinoplasty was designed around that philosophy.
Thinking About a Full-Face Rejuvenation?
If you feel that your face has started to look tired, heavy, or less defined, choosing a procedure on your own may not be the best first step.
You may think you need only a facelift when part of the concern comes from the brow or eye area. Or you may focus on your eyes when the overall facial contour is also contributing to the appearance you want to change.
A professional facial assessment can help identify where those changes are actually occurring.
At The SIB Plastic Surgery, the surgeon can evaluate your face as a whole and discuss which options may be appropriate based on your anatomy, concerns, expectations, and overall health.
Because comprehensive facial rejuvenation is not simply about lifting the face.
It is about creating balance between the face, eyes, brows, and facial structure — so the final result can look fresher while still feeling naturally yours.
Lift the face. Open the eyes. Refine the features. Refresh the whole look.
The images represent an individual patient’s experience, with postoperative photographs taken approximately 23 days after surgery. Results, swelling, scarring, recovery time, and healing vary between individuals. Surgical procedures involve risks and should be considered only after consultation and assessment by a qualified medical professional.
