What are the processes of Nose Job?
1. Patient will be given local anesthetic on the facial area or general anesthetic in some cases.
2. It only takes 30 – 45 minutes for a nose job operation. Surgeon will be then making a small hollow of 1 cm. size under the sinus. It could be in only one or both sides depending on related conditions.
3. A well sculptured silicone is then placed into the hollowed area.
4. Surgeon considers the shape and location before giving needlework of approximately 3 stitches. Besides, cover by a plaster or splint to prevent the minute dust and minimize distention.
After having a Nose Job
Within 24 hours: Headache and painful might be occurred, patient should sleep in 90 degree position to avoid swelling and being bruised.
Patient might get uncomfortable by having a stuffed nose. Hence, surgeon might suggest you not to blow the nose as there might be some epistaxis.
Within 3 days: Being bruised around the eyes socket will be obviously seen in this period. Patient should get a cold gel massage to decrease swelling.
Within 1 week: Surgeon will make an appointment for the first follow up and stitches cut in this period. Patient will be able to get back to daily routine but involving in heavy activities such as swimming, joking, bending over and engaging in sexual relation are still contraindication.
Within 1-3 months: In this period, the silicone should be upon the nose. Patient should avoid bumping against by things, kid, and pet. Moreover, glasses are best to be wore on within 1-3 months.
